Variable electricity price
A variable electricity price (Rörligt elpris) is linked directly to the electricity exchange market and follows the fluctuations of the market, both in rise and decline. The price can vary greatly during the year and thus involves a risk of high prices during certain periods but also the possibility of low prices during other periods. If you have a variable-price contract, you may change over to one of our fixed-price contracts at any time.
Fixed electricity price
If security is important to you, and you would prefer not to worry about electricity prices and the fluctuations of the market, then a fixed electricity price (Fast elpris) is best for you. Choose between contract periods ranging from six months to three years. With a fixed electricity price you know exactly how much you will be paying per kilowatt-hour for a longer period of time.
Choose your energy source
You can also choose the energy source from which your electricity will come – namely wind, hydro or nuclear power. If you don’t make a choice, you will receive a mix of different energy sources. Some 47 per cent of the electricity that Vattenfall sells in Sweden comes from renewable energy sources, the rest from nuclear power. So our electricity is completely free of fossil fuels.
