Ringhals’ reactors supply electricity to the Swedish national grid 24 hours a day, almost all year round.
A normal year we produce enough energy to supply six cities the size of Gothenburg. This is equivalent to around 28 TWh annually. The electricity is produced in a safe, and economical way with good environmental properties.
Since the start in 1975 Ringhals has produced approximately 750 TWh of electricity.
With the modernisation work and safety improvements that are currently under way, we will be able to run our facilities for many years to come.
